Originally from Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire, Georgina graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire with a First Class Honours degree in Vocal and Operatic Studies in 2011. She studied with Margaret Field, Julian Pike and Louise Crane. She has recently been awarded a Masters with Distinction from Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff where she studied with world renowned Welsh tenor Dennis O’Neill.
Last year Georgina sang Miss Ellen in Swansea City Opera’s touring production of Lakmé, which played venues all over the UK including the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, and in the summer she covered Miss Wordsworth in Albert Herring and Celia in Mozart’s Lucio Silla for Buxton Opera Festival. She will return to Buxton Festival this summer to cover Ilia in Mozart’s Idomeneo.
Georgina is a fluent Italian speaker and made her international debut at the Fondazione Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte in Montepulciano, Tuscany in 2010 singing Emmie in Britten’s Albert Herring.
Lawrence Stalbow-Best (or Larry, as he prefers to be called) is a 24-year-old from Milford Haven who has recently gained a BA in Acting from Bath Spa University. During his time in the west country, Larry performed in many productions of surprising variety - from promenade Shakespeare plays to wind band competitions. Most notably, as part of his final making project, he composed a musical entitled Nobody Suspects, in which he was the pianist for its initial run. Larry missed his beloved home of Pembrokeshire far too much, and so he finds himself homeward bound to rejoin the local theatre community and other much-missed projects such as the award-winning Goodwick Brass Band. He currently works for Merrymakers theatre company in Pembroke castle, producing historical/hysterical shows.
